Senior Business Analyst

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires experienced Senior Business Analysts to be based in their client’s offices in Leeds/ Bradford, UK.

This is a hybrid role – you can work remotely in the UK and attend Leeds/ Bradford office 1-2 days per week.

This is a 6 month temporary contract, to start asap.

Day rate: Competitive Market rate.

Role Description:

The BAs need to be autonomous and will initially be responsible for eliciting requirements also being able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders. The client is seeking experienced Senior Business Analysts, who can work with minimal support and is comfortable with ambiguity. Whilst no specific technical knowledge is required, they will need to be capable of understanding the technical elements of the solution as well as the human elements of the overall process, in order to understand the full impacts of implementing the change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the analysis for the project through the entire lifecycle of the project
  • Create process maps, traceability matrix, contribution to lifecycle documents such as assess summary, and other documents as per the RACI
  • BA plan and approach document, ensuring regular updates are provided
  • Elicit, prioritise, document, socialise and secure appropriate sign off for functional and non-functional requirements for a business change
  • Conduct impact analysis, including detailed gap analysis between current and future state to consider full scope of people, processes, data and technology affected by requirements
  • Ensure that all requirements have clear traceability through user requirements, business and technical design documents, acceptance testing, business and technical implementation
  • Collate a business design pulling together current and to be processes, customer journey mapping, operational changes (organisation/ technology/ training and development/ change management), risk management and implementation planning
  • Enable business readiness (process/ procedure/ training/ communication) by collating business readiness requirements and providing knowledge of the change to business representatives who will perform business readiness activity

Key Requirements:

  • Senior Business Analyst who can work with minimal support and is comfortable with ambiguity
  • No specific technical knowledge is required, they will need to be capable of understanding the technical elements of the solution as well as the human elements of the overall process, in order to understand the full impacts of implementing the change
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of analysis skills and techniques including requirement elicitation and traceability
  • Experienced in performing detailed gap analysis between current and future state processes
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and navigating conflicting requirements to reach desired outcomes with a range of stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to articulate solutions in a business context
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills including the ability to influence outcomes
