Serena Field

Compliance Lead

Serena worked in public sector health and social care services for 20 years, she qualified as a social worker and specialised in working with adults with learning disabilities and their families. She delivered person centred services, promoted advocacy, self-determination and hearing the client’s voice.

Serena moved on to the private sector and developed  services in the community for people with learning disabilities.

Her responsibilities entailed recruiting large teams, training staff, and achieving ‘good’ to ‘outstanding’ regulatory standards.

Following this Serena moved into a freelance Management Consultant role supporting failing services and effectively working with them to improve regulatory compliance. The natural progression was to move on to work for the regulator itself the Care Quality Commission (CQC) .

At the CQC Serena specialised in the assessment of hospitals and primary care services, assessing their compliance with regulatory, statutory and good practice standards. Working for the regulator she developed an expert knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance systems.

Her strong eye for detail and understanding of legislative frameworks around business is key to Serenas success in her role as Compliance Lead for Project Global. Serena supports our compliance team and Project Global clients in mitigating risk and ensuring compliance within many complex jurisdictions. She also selects and manages our worldwide partner network of top accountants and local labour law experts that support our team.

In her leisure time Serena is a volunteer search dog handler for her local search and rescue team, supporting the police with their searches for high risk, vulnerable people.

She is also a founder member of the local gig sea rowing club bringing the sport of Cornish gig rowing to Poole. As a competitive rower, and technique coach her detail-oriented nature gives her the sporting advantage.
