Business Change Workstream Lead

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires experienced Business Change Workstream Lead to be based at their client’s office in Lincolnshire, UK.

This is a hybrid role – you can work remotely in the UK and attend the Lincolnshire office once a week .

This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start asap

Day rate: Competitive Market rate

The Business Change Workstream Lead is a senior manager within the Trust who reports directly to the Tranche Design and Build Lead who has responsibility for the management and ongoing development of the Digital Transformation and Business Change function within the department. You will play a pivotal role in delivering a major Electronic Patient Record (EPR) implementation within NHS Trusts. This position offers the chance to influence how clinical teams access and use information, improving both patient outcomes and hospital efficiency. Working at the forefront of digital healthcare, you will help align technology with care delivery, ensuring interoperability and compliance with NHS standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan business change/ train resources required for EPR
  • Enable compliance with NHS Service Standards including DTAC, DSPT, Cyber Security, Clinical Safety, and Accessibility requirements
  • Leading Trust teams through a benefit and change management process
  • Ensure seamless system integration with existing platforms including PAS, NHS App, and EDMS
  • Monitor/ report on the delivery of benefits to relevant Trust/ health community stakeholder
  • Ensure the potential of new and existing clinical ICT systems are fully utilised to ensure that the Trust obtains maximum value from ICT investments
  • Analyse and map patient pathways and hospital operational flows to ensure the system supports safe and effective care delivery leveraging FHIR & HL7
  • Ensure work required by projects is delivered at a suitable quality in the agreed timeframe
  • Ensure that training, benefits and changes are coordinated across projects e.g. equipment reviews do not duplicate additional equipment
  • Analysis of performance data, assessing projects to identify areas for collaborative working
  • Ensure that new ways of working are coordinated across projects to ensure changes are built and developed in a structured way to reduce impact of change, provide a structured change program across projects and ensure projects do not conflict in the changes required. This will also be reflected in ICT training where possible
  • Provide Change Management support for existing systems and new projects
  • Use specialist skills to inspire, negotiate and persuade teams across the Trust to review the current ways of working and develop new ways of working which may be enhanced through the use of ICT
  • Work collaboratively with service groups to deliver modernisation and service improvement agendas which will include representing the Program Department at relevant forums
  • Provide support to new users during implementation and maturation of systems
  • Ensure that the team utilise the best management and training delivery methodologies

Key Requirements

Essential:

  • Experience delivering EPR implementations within NHS Trusts. (Preferably Nervecentre EPR)
  • Knowledge of the NHS and organisation
  • Strong understanding of patient pathways and operational workflows
  • Knowledge of national integration guidelines and interoperability standards like FHIR
  • Proven ability in clinical and administrative process redesign
  • Provide ICT Training support for existing systems and new projects
  • Experience managing change on complex ICT-enabled projects
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Resilient and adaptable in complex program environments
  • Master’s or equivalent knowledge PRINCE2 Foundation
  • Evidence of ongoing personal development

Desirable:

  • Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Microsoft Project/Visio – or similar software package.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise own and others workload
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Always demonstrates integrity and confidentiality
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
  • A comprehensive understanding of ICT enabled change/ training service
